Atlanta Trip

Brett, Daphne, Brett’s Mom Kim, and I all made the 8 hour drive to  Atlanta the other week.  We went to visit Brett’s brother Brandon, his wife Christy, and our two nieces Maris and Maeve.  We had THE BEST time.

My nieces were so much fun.  Maris just turned 5, and Maeve was 1 in April.  Now that Daphne can move around a lot more and play she really enjoyed Maeve.  Those two are going to be trouble when they get older.

I got to take some pictures of Brandon’s family while we were down there.  We tried to go down to the nice park, but it was closed because they were filming a movie!  (Random right?)  So we set off on an adventure.  We found this running trail close to the park.  It was so green and beautiful which actually made a wonderful backdrop.

While we were there we got to know the neighborhood hawk, yes you read that correctly, the neighborhood hawk.  Brandon named it Ghostface Killah, after the Wu-Tang Clan rapper.  (He used to wear a gold bird on a cuff back in the day)  This hawk isn’t afraid of anything.  It will let you walk within 10 feet of it.  It was nuts!  Ghostface seemed like a member of the family after the weekend because we saw his so much.

While we were down there we participated in a Rugged Maniac race.  HOLY AWESOME!  Brett, Brandon, Christy and I worked as a team and stuck together the whole time.  We all really enjoyed it and are looking for our next race.  And that night, Christy ran with Maris in her very first race!  It was a light up the night 1K.  She had a ball.

We also got to go to an Atlanta Braves game.  We sat right on the field and could throw a rock and hit J. Upton.  Great game!

Here are a few pictures that I took from the mini family shoot, as well as some shots of our other adventures.
